How can the bone be reconstructed?
Human bone possesses the ability to regenerate, in other words, to rebuild and repair missing bone. In most cases of oral regeneration, however, it requires support. Geistlich Bio-Oss® and Geistlich Bio-Gide® natural products guide the patient’s bone regeneration process extremely effectively.
Bone being formed requires a scaffold to act as a guide for regrowth. Geistlich Bio-Oss® bone replacement biomaterial meets this need perfectly because of its extremely porous structure. So that bone regeneration can take place smoothly, a membrane (Geistlich Bio-Gide®) is placed over the area of bone regeneration as a protective barrier in order to prevent the rapid regrowth of gingival tissue from encroaching on the space that should be occupied by bone, which has a much slower growth rate. In addition to protecting the wound, the Geistlich Bio-Gide® membrane promotes optimal healing.
The active gel contains a low percentage of peroxide, which allows it to be used directly on the gums without the need for a protective barrier, making it suitable even for minor bleeding that can occur after a dental hygiene session.
After mixing the two components of the product, the gel is applied to the teeth and oxygen is released under the effect of light. The whitening treatment takes only 10 minutes and offers visible results immediately, although limited in time.
